Dinosaurs, Antartica, Fire & Vikings!

Little guy & I had a fun & exciting 2nd week of homeschool preschool. Of course we used our workbooks. This week we focused on letters C & D.

And we worked on colors & shapes with these fun flashcards I got at the dollar store.

We even let Baby girl get in on the fun. We decided her "lesson" would be in crawling:)

Our country of the week in our workbook was Antarctica. We read several books & learned so much. Who knew there are no polar bears in Antarctica? Not me! After reading & writing in his workbook, Little guy also colored & painted pictures of different animals found in Antarctica. I got all the worksheets here. I originally planned to have Little guy color some pictures & paint the others but he decided to color them all first then paint over top. They turned out great! I love his creativity.

To finish off the week I let Little guy pick a few subjects that he wanted to learn about. He picked Dinosaurs (again!), fire & the Vikings. For the Vikings, we read library books & watched an interesting documentary. I had no idea Vikings first started out as a group that attacked Christian monasteries. For fire we also read books & watched a Bill Nye dvd on fire & fire safety. We also made this cute little fire out of construction paper.

But the most fun thing we did all week was make dinosaur cut out cookies!

Little guy even cleaned the table all my himself!

It was a great week & I already can't wait for our lessons this week. So what have you been learning lately?
