We had a great morning but what started as an opportunity to bless others became a blessing to me. One of the ladies in my small group, my pastor's wife, came to talk to me before the activities started. My pastor's is seriously one of the sweetest people I've ever known and her words of encouragement were just what I needed that morning. She told me she knows I'm in so much pain and yet I keep going on as if I'm not. That might not seem like a lot to say but to me it was hugely encouraging. Everyone wants to be acknowledged. And it meant so much to me for someone to recognize how much it took for me to be there that morning.
It got me thinking how often do we miss opportunities to acknowledge others. To let them know that we see them and the struggles they are going through and to encourage them to persevere. Who do you know that needs encouragement today? Someone going through an illness or other challenging circumstance? Pick up the phone and give them a call today!
Maybe you are the one who needs the encouragement. Maybe you feel all but invisible to the outside world. There is Someone who see you, loves you and knows what you're going though and He has promised to never leave you or forsake you. Call Him today!
"[Hagar] gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her:
You are the God who sees me.

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
