Welcome

Mission Statement:  Finding Purpose in the Pain is community of women who share their stories of living through challenging circumstances. We share our stories to give voice to what we’ve gone through, to share the lessons God has taught us, to glorify God for carrying us through and to encourage other women in similar circumstances to seek God and persevere through their pain.

My Story

My name is Stacy. I'm 30, single and living a life I didn't expect. Like most people I had hopes, dreams and very definite plans for my life. Somehow having chronic, debilitating pain for the last 18 years wasn't what I had planned but it's what God has allowed in my life. I originally started this blog as a place where I could share the lessons God has been teaching me and encourage others who are going through hard journeys of their own. I'll still be sharing my story but am so excited to now have many different women with many different experiences share their stories too.  Recently I've been on a journey of lots of change and while it's exciting, it's also scary and risky.

So if you have ever thought why is life so hard? How can I have joy in the midst of this pain? Why is God allowing this to happen to me? How do I live for God and make these few years I get on Earth really count for eternity? Know you are not alone and I hope you share this journey with us. And don't stay silent. If God is working in your life, growing you and teaching you, then you have a story to share too. So feel free to share away here. We can all learn so much from each other.

2 Corinthians 1: 3-5
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ."
